Hi, I’m Katie Kay, better known as the Witch Doctor!
Welcome to my life’s work, where holistic health meets soul alignment (and where we make shift happen!)
what does a witch doctor do?
I first started calling myself The Witch Doctor in jest. I didn’t know what else to call myself.
My education and experience span Holistic Nutrition, Conflict Management and Mediation, Polyvagal-informed nervous system education, cancer prevention, Equine Assisted Learning — and a whole lot in between.
Over time, something interesting began to happen. People began finding me through referrals from friends and family (the best compliment there is), asking if I could support them with challenges they hadn’t been able to resolve elsewhere. It reminded me of the movie Practical Magic — people arriving at the door seeking clarity, perspective, and a deeper understanding of what might be going on for them.
While I don’t cast spells, there is something powerful that happens here. And so, The Witch Doctor was born.
And it fits.
I’m an experienced problem-solver who works at the intersection of holistic health, nervous system regulation, and mind-body awareness. I support people who are navigating stress, emotional overwhelm, digestive discomfort, chronic or recurring physical symptoms, parenting and relationship challenges, and those frustrating, hard-to-pin-down issues that don’t always show up clearly on tests.
I offer support, education, and guidance — and I love this work.
(Keep reading below for more information on my approach.)
People often ask how one person can work with such a wide range of concerns. The truth is, I’m not an expert in every condition. What I am deeply trained in is understanding how the human body and nervous system respond to stress, environment, relationships, and life experiences — and how greater awareness and regulation can support overall well-being.
My work blends science and spirituality. I draw on evidence-informed knowledge of physiology, nutrition, psychology, and Polyvagal-informed nervous system education, alongside intuition, pattern recognition, and a deep respect for the body’s innate capacity for adaptation and resilience.
I don’t view symptoms as random or meaningless. Instead, I see them as information — invitations to slow down, listen, and understand what the body may be asking for. I specialize in helping people make sense of these patterns and reconnect with their own internal signals, a process I’ve been studying and refining for over 20 years.
I care deeply about the people I work with, and I love witnessing clients feel more grounded, resourced, resilient, and connected to themselves.
Supporting people on their personal well-being journey is a profound honour.
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from your body — or if you sense there may be more going on beneath the surface — please know there is support available. I would be honoured to walk alongside you.
