what does a witch doctor do?
Hi! Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Katie, better known as The Witch Doctor!
I first started calling myself that in jest - I didn’t know what else to call myself. I have designations that include everything from Holistic Nutrition, to Conflict Management and Mediation, to Polyvagal theory (work with the nervous system), to Cancer Prevention and Equine Assisted Learning- and everything in between.
I found that people would show up in my inbox or text messages, letting me know that their friend so and so came to see me, and told them that I might be able to help with their problem. It reminded me of the movie Practical Magic, when the Aunts have women show up at their door in need of magic and spells… and although I don’t cast spells, there is definitely some magic that happens over here!! … and so the witch doctor was born.
And it fits!
I get messages or calls from people who have been referred by family and/or friends (that’s the best compliment ever by the way) asking if I can help fix their problem .. (I’m an expert problem solver)
And I do!
I help people get rid of their anxiety and depression, I help people poop more (no joke, constipation is a doozy!!), I help them poop *less* (IBS is no fun!), I help them solve their parenting problems, their marital problems, their friend problems, their job problems, their sore joints, their autoimmune conditions, their unsolvable and undiagnosable issues, and more.
And I love it!!
How do I do this you may be thinking? I can’t be an expert in all those fields…and you’re right, I’m not - but what I DO have expertise in is a) how the human body works b) how the human mind works and c) how the soul interacts with the previous two.. Also, I have found a niche in understanding how the body speaks to us. All the confusing symptoms that happen, to me, are a language I’m pretty good at deciphering (I’ve been practicing for over 20 years now!!)
Anyhow … I love what I do. I love my clients. And I love seeing people become more and more themselves- leading healthy, vibrant, joyous lives; it’s a deep honour to guide people on their journey actually.
If you ever find yourself in a place where some guidance might be helpful, please know there’s somewhere to go. I will not *heal* you, but I sure as hell will teach you how to *heal yourself* !!! And that my friend, that is lasting success!
